The National Childcare scheme opened to the general public on the 20^th November 2019. This scheme allows parents to apply directly for financial support towards the cost of their childcare. Tusla, along with other relevant statutory bodies, are a Sponsor Body for this scheme, who along with the DCYA provide the legal basis for referrals and govern the detail of the referral process. Designated Contact people within Tusla complete referral forms in respect of parents needing this support.

Following Covid-19 and with the possibility of childcare providers re-opening their doors, we are anticipating requests for referrals for this scheme. Pobal are providing three 2.5 hour training sessions by Webinar on the 18^th, 23^rd and 30^th June 2020 from 10am-12:30pm

Staff who work directly with families are encouraged to take part in these informative sessions. It is also available to any staff who will be providing administrative support. Please note that spaces are limited to 150 people per session.
