Information Meeting: What’s happening in the Inny River and L. Sheelin catchment? 16th October, Oldcastle
The Inny River with Lough Sheelin is one of 190 catchments throughout Ireland which have been prioritised to protect and restore water quality.
The priority area for action spans the three counties of Cavan, Meath and Westmeath and includes an area north of Ballyheelin townland, west of Mountnugent village and as far south as Oldcastle and Dromone. All tributaries terminate in Lough Sheelin lake before outflowing from the catchment at Finnea.
You are invited to a community meeting about what it means to be a part of an area for action. This is a new way of working to improve water quality and everyone is welcome to come along and find out what each person can do!
