Recreational Infrastructure Scheme Open Now

The Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme 2018 has been launched by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring, T.D.

The 2018 Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme  is part of the Government’s Action Plan for Rural Development and provides funding for the development of new outdoor recreational infrastructure or the necessary maintenance, enhancement or promotion of existing outdoor recreational infrastructure in rural areas across Ireland.  The 2018 Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme will have three measures.

  • Measure 1: Small Scale Maintenance/Promotion and Marketing, up to a maximum of €20,000.  The Lead Eligible Applicant under Measure 1 is Meath Partnership, all queries regarding Measure 1 projects should be directed to Meath Partnership, Unit 7, Kells Business Park, Cavan Road, Kells, Co. The Lead Eligible Applicant under Measures 2 & 3 is Meath County Council

  • Measure 2: Medium Scale Repair/Upgrade and New Trail Development, up to a maximum of €200,000.
  • Measure 3: Large Scale Repair/Upgrade and New Strategy Trail Development, up to a maximum of €500,000
