As October is World Mental Health month please see attached and below information about Mental Health community programmes

All scheduled programmes can be found on the programmes calendar on our website https://suicideorsurvive.ie/programme-calendar/ which is updated regularly.

The Eden Programme

Suicide or Survive run the Eden Programme in person in Dublin. It provides a safe space where participants can develop the skills to monitor and manage their own mental health, build a range of supports appropriate to their individual needs and move away from suicide as an option of choice in times of crisis. To apply for this programme please email catherine@suicideorsurvive.ie or call the office on 012722158.

The Supporters Programme

Suicide or Survive recognises and understands that supporting someone who is struggling with their mental health can be challenging. For this reason, we have developed a new and innovative programme for people supporting family members, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, people in their community and others who are struggling with their mental health. It is the first of its kind in Ireland.

This programme teaches supporters practical skills they can use to support others, it gives information on what supports are available and how they can be accessed and teaches practical ways of looking after your own mental health.

The next programme will be held online in November dates tbc. The cost is €25 to attend but can be waived if this is a struggle. To apply for this programme (12 places available) please email catherine@suicideorsurvive.ie or call the office on 012722158

Wellness Workshop

Suicide or Survive deliver the Wellness Workshop which is a one-day programme in partnership with local communities and organisations throughout the country.

Participants book themselves on to the Workshop through our website (50 places available) https://suicideorsurvive.ie/programme-calendar/ or by calling our office and it has been designed to suit everyone including those who have experienced mental health difficulties and those who are interested in developing and maintaining their mental wellness. The Workshop aims to harness individuals own strengths and provide them with the tools to improve their own mental wellness. It encourages them to take personal responsibility for their own mental health and to identify what they can and will do to look after it daily. We have workshops running in Blanchardstown, Whitehall, Balbriggan and Walkinstown in November.

Online Wellness Workshops

Suicide or Survive provide free online versions of the Wellness Workshop which allow people who cannot attend a face-to-face Workshop to benefit from the Workshop and for those who have attended a Workshop to build on and continue to benefit from the learning. The You Matter Wellness Workshop https://youmatter.ie/ is aimed at younger adults from the ages of 18 to 24 and the Wellness Workshop Online https://wellnessworkshop.ie/  is open to people aged 24 and over. These workshops have been built from listening to people’s experiences and what has helped them when their mental health has taken a dip.

Online Webinars

Suicide or Survive provide online webinars where key topics from the Wellness Workshop have been condensed into individual bitesize 45-minute workshops on topics such as The Inner Critic, Mindfulness, The Health Continuum, Developing Happiness, Resilience, and lots more. These webinars are held in partnership with local communities and organisations throughout the country where participants book themselves on to the workshop through our website https://suicideorsurvive.ie/programme-calendar/  or by calling our office. Like the Wellness Workshops, the Wellness Webinars have been designed to suit everyone including those who have experienced mental health difficulties and those who are interested in developing and maintaining their mental wellness. There is no charge involved for the workshops as we receive funding from the HSE and the National Office for Suicide Prevention.

The WRAP Programme – Information attached

The online WRAP programme costs €35 to attend and can be waived if this is a struggle. We have an online programme scheduled for November, (15 places available) dates are as follows:
