Cultúr’s statement for this year’s Ukraine independence day in standing in Solidarity with All Ukrainians is, No to War and Peace in Ukraine!

At least 12 million people have fled their homes since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, according to the United Nations (UN). More than five million have left for neighbouring countries, while seven million people are still thought to be displaced inside Ukraine itself. With record numbers of people forced to flee their homes, Ireland has taken in about 40,000 refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine.
