Welcome to our bi-monthly e-zine where we’ll be sharing all the exciting news and opportunities from An Cosán! We look forward to sharing the story of our learners, the impact we are having for communities around Ireland, and information on upcoming courses and events.

Despite the upheaval of the past year, we have continued and expanded our services to provide a pathway of lifelong learning for the most marginalised communities in Ireland. Whether it is for our littles ones receiving the best Early Years education and care, or for our adult learners elevating themselves and their communities through lifelong learning, or those supported through our wraparound and community services such as counselling – An Cosán is working tirelessly to support our community no matter what the challenge.

We’ve had a busy start to the year, with events like our International Women’s Day celebration, the launch of our Irish Aid project and webinars bringing our models of education to new partners. We’ve also continued to strengthen and develop our organisation, while most of all keeping our focus on ensuring our communities have the supports they need to weather this trying time and continue to receive the best education opportunities that will allow them to fight poverty and end the digital divide.

Yours in solidarity,
Heydi Foster

Learning from the Start

We know the importance of giving our little ones the very best start in life. That’s why across our seven Early Years Education and Care centres our Early Years professionals use the Highscope Curriculum to create a fun and educational environment.

Recently the children worked on projects like planting (sparking their love of nature and science), building blocks (expanding their creative and maths skills), and a whole range of activities to develop their growing minds.
