Creative Writing Course for Young Adults

Cruinniú na nÓg Creative Writing for Young Adults with Allanah Scully

Are you aged 15- 18 years and want to discover your ‘creative spark’ through creative writing?

This is a 6 week creative writing course for young adults aged 15 -18 that will take place over Zoom.

Participants will focus on a different element each week during the Creative Writing Course.  The first week will be used to explore prompts and ideas and delve into the many inspirations that can be right in front of us every day.  The remaining 5 weeks will explore Character Creation, Setting, Dialogue, Different Writing Styles, What to do when you get writer’s block, Structuring your story and much more.

At the end of the 6 weeks, each participant will be given the option to publish their story as an eBook on BorrowBox, the Meath County Council Library Service eBook platform.

Course Dates: Friday 30th April, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th May, and 4th June.

Course Time: 5 – 6 pm
