The festival is times with the Summer Solstice and will take place in the townland of Rathinree which happens to be directly opposite the sacred site of Lough Crew sometimes known as Sliabh na Cailligh or the hags mountain. While Sliabh na Cailligh is more often known as an equinox site it has quite a few cairns with solstice alignments..  It seems, too, that the place known as Rathinree outside of Moynalty is on the same  ley line which runs through Sliabh na Cailligh ( We know this through feeling the energy of the land at the time of the solstice). For this reason we feel it is important to let you know that our festival takes place at this time and is a deep dive into the sacred land of the Boyne Valley..
