All Right All Night: Bystander Intervention Programme – Train the Trainer Sessions

Meath Community Safety Partnership are seeking expressions of interest from partners to take part in free Train the Trainer sessions for All Right, All Night, a bystander intervention programme that gives young people (16–24) the confidence and skills to look out for each other and challenge harmful behaviour on nights out.

Young people regularly witness or experience harm when socialising—but many want the tools to step in safely. All Right, All Night helps them recognise unacceptable behaviour, understand their role as active bystanders, and take action when it’s safe to do so. This is about shifting cultural norms and setting a higher standard for what’s acceptable in social spaces.

By becoming a trainer, you’ll help equip young people with these essential skills and play a part in changing the culture around nights out. We welcome expressions of interest from anyone working with young people or young staff, including community leaders and professionals.

To get involved, email mark.davies@louthcoco.ie by April 17th. Future training will then be arranged based on numbers.

Find out more about this initiative at All Right All Night – On nights out, let’s look out for each other and follow on https://www.instagram.com/_allrightallnight/ and All Right All Night (@AllRightAllN) / X for updates.

All Right All Night is a national campaign to ensure that social nights out are free from intimidation, violence and fear for all – and especially for young and vulnerable people. Empowered with the right knowledge and skills, if we all look out for one another, as ‘Active Bystanders’ we can have safe and fun nights out.

The key message is to only make an intervention, IF IT IS SAFE TO DO SO.  Participants learn how to assess a situation in order to identify the best intervention skills to utilise in that situation, to ensure a safe outcome for everyone.
