What are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) / Global Goals? In September 2015, world leaders from 193 countries came together to adopt the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs became a framework to guide our social, economic and environmental actions to achieve a better future for all by 2030. As a result, everyone has a responsibility to make the SDG agenda a reality. “By equipping educators with the tools and resources to promote Sustainable Development we are fostering a culture of responsible Active Citizenship. Participants will have the chance to collaborate with like-minded educators, share best practices, and develop action projects tailored to their specific community needs. By implementing these projects, educators will not only contribute to the global effort to achieve the SDGs but also inspire and educate others to do the same” – Margaret Downey, Project Coordinator. |
