The South East Meath Youth Diversion Project (SEM YDP) has expanded.

YDP’s are projects which aim to divert young people from becoming involved or further involved in anti-social behaviour or criminal behaviour.  YDP’s focus on nurturing the personal development of young people and their civic responsibility.

The project supports young people (12yrs -17yrs) who have or are at risk in the following areas;

• family issues
• education achievement and attainment
• negative peer group
• lack of prosocial activities
• substance use
• have been involved in or are at risk of engaging in anti-social behaviour
• who have come to or are at risk of coming to the attention of the Garda
