The Well-being Framework for Ireland is the result of a Programme for Government commitment to move beyond using uniquely economic measures in gauging our progress as a country, to a more holistic approach which encompasses broader living standards. It allows consideration of key economical, societal and environmental goals simultaneously rather than sequentially or in isolation.

As you are aware the a wider public conversation on Ireland’s Wellbeing Framework continues to take place. Many thanks to all who have taken our survey to date, just a reminder that the closing date for this is the 9th January so please make sure to have your say. This feedback will allow the Government to improve the Framework and ensure it is reflective of the issues that matter most to the Irish people. We are eager to spread the word and hear from people right across Irish society.
