Reminder: “Let’s Talk Integration in Ireland” – virtual event on July 22nd 2021 at 11am

A gentle reminder that tomorrow (22nd of July) Meath Partnership will host an online conference called ‘Let’s Talk Integration in Ireland’.

Community practitioners, educators and interested groups are invited to join us for a morning of learning about the importance of integration in communities and groups.

Join us as we discuss the importance of integration and particularly volunteering to support integration for migrants and refugees in Ireland.

Throughout the event, best practice examples will be shared, lessons learned and resource packs distributed to community groups.

The registration will close tomorrow morning at 9am and the event will begin at 11am.

 

Let’s Talk Integration in Ireland speakers:

Ø  Mr Roderic O’Gorman Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration & Youth.

Ø  Amy Woods from Volunteer Ireland will talk about inclusive volunteering and what it looks like across Ireland.

Ø  Mohammad Achour will share his powerful story of settling in Ireland and the initiatives he is now involved in.

Ø  Panel discussion with Reuben Hambakachere (Integration project officer at Cultur) and Aine Bird (Meath Coco – Louth Meath Integration Strategy) on what local strategy is in place, services that are available and challenges and successes for integration.

Ø  The event will end with some amazing music from musician Tobi – A which is a real treat!
