Communicating Europe Initiative 2021: open for applications
Do you have a great idea for how to raise public awareness of the role the EU plays in our daily lives? Would you like to connect your community to high-quality information on European issues? If so, the Department of Foreign Affairs’ Communicating Europe Initiative might be for you!
The Communicating Europe Initiative (CEI) provides funding for projects that communicate European issues, the role of the European Union and Ireland’s place in Europe. The Department of Foreign Affairs is now accepting applications from voluntary organisations, educational bodies and civil society groups. Applicants are advised to consider the following:
- Projects should aim to reach a wide range of audiences
- Projects that encourage high level of meaningful interaction with contemporary EU issues and policies are welcome
- Media and radio projects are particularly encouraged
- Projects must be carried out before the end of 2021.
The allocation for the CEI in 2021 is €100,000. While decisions on the number and level of grants will be dependent on the range of proposals received, it is envisaged that the maximum individual grant awarded will be €15,000.
The application deadline is 9 April 2021.
More details about how to apply and past CEI projects can be found on the Department of Foreign Affairs’ website. You can also download here a Word version of the application.
