Digital Connectivity has never been more important given the increase demand for remote working, online learning and social interaction. The global pandemic has highlighted unacceptable gaps in connectivity in many parts of Ireland, leaving many people isolated, cut off from family, online opportunities in employment, business and education and excluded from the benefits of the online world. The availability of high speed broadband is not the only factor affecting digital connectivity, the availability of technology and cost are major barriers while a large cohort of people, particularly our older generation require supports and training in digital skills.
This webinar will discuss the policy and supports required in addressing digital connectivity and the digital divide, while also examining how communities can respond in meeting this challenge
