The plan was commissioned with Leader funding support from Meath Partnership and research by Flynn Furney Environmental Consultants Ltd
The plan is a comprehensive document featuring the numerous aspects of biodiversity in the locality.
Among the topics featured are:
the importance of biodiversity, habitat creation, wildflower meadows, pollinator friendly planting, composting, bee nesting habitats, protecting biodiversity, raising awareness, citizen science, grassland management, tree planting, bird box installation, dead standing wood, understory planting, woodland habitat enhancement, orchard development, creation of a secret garden, development of a sensory garden and proposals for street art on bare walls in the village.
Dunshaughlin Tidy Towns Group invite other groups to engage with them in the implementation of the recommendations in the plan.
