DCU Study: The potential of technology to support older adults to live independently at home
This study is being carried out by researchers from Dublin City University. The aim of the research is to support older adults to remain living independently in their own homes using technology.
The researchers are conducting a survey to gather information from older adults (ages 60 years and older), family carers as well as health and social care workers who provide care to older adults about how technology can address some of the issues they face.
The results of this research will form the foundation for the technology developers to design and develop a system that reflects the practical and real life needs of the people who will ultimately use the technology to support independent living..
