Have your say on Boyne Greenway proposals
Boyne Greenway –Drogheda to Mornington: Non-Statutory Public Consultation
Meath County Council is opening a process of public consultation on Friday the 30th of August around proposals that could provide a pedestrian and cycle facility from Drogheda Town to Mornington. The Consultants working on the Scheme have considered a number of options and identified an emerging preferred route.
This forms the basis for our “Emerging Preferred Scheme” which seeks to achieve a comprehensive solution that provides a cycle and pedestrian route, and considers the environmental and ecological constraints along the proposed route, in a way that will deliver real benefits to cyclists, pedestrians, and all road users.
In advance of commencing a formal planning application process, we wish to consult with the public. If members of local communities, or cyclists, pedestrians and other road users, the local community, interested individuals or groups have suggestions as to how we can do this better, we will certainly consider those for inclusion in the finalised plans, which will form the basis of a formal planning application intended to be made at a later date.
We are very anxious to get as wide a range of views as possible, and we want to engage with as many people as possible in the consultation process that gets under way, so that we can be confident that the final plan maps out the best way forward.
Details of the proposals are available here: https://www.meath.ie/council/council-services/roads-and-travel/boyne-greenway-consultation
Submissions are to be made no later than 4pm on Friday 25th of October, and can be through https://consult.meath.ie) or by email to transport@meathcoco.ie.
