Sports Injuries First Aid Training
Monday 12th November | 6.30pm-10pm | Windtown Unity Centre, Navan
This course is aimed at coaches, mentors, teachers, supervisors, players and volunteers. The course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer First Aid care. Participants will learn practical skills so that they can deal competently with situations that may arise. Cost: €30 per person for clubs in Meath, €40 per person for clubs outside Meath. Safeguarding 3 Designated Liaison Person Workshop Tuesday 20th November | 6.30pm-9.30pm | Windtown Unity Centre, Navan
The third part of Sport Ireland’s Child Welfare & Protection Training Programme is the Designated Liaison Person workshop. Every club/organisation should designate a person to be responsible for dealing with any concerns about the protection of children. The Designated Liaison Person is responsible for reporting allegations or suspicions of child abuse to TUSLA Child and Family Agency and/or An Garda Siochána. It is recommended that this person is a senior club person. It is essential that those who wish to attend this training have attended the Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness in Protection Workshop.
Cost: €20 per person for clubs in Meath, €30 per person for clubs outside Meath. To book a place, please call Lynn on 046-9067337
Community Sports Hub Navan
Do you live in Windtown/Blackcastle area, if so we want to hear from you!
Over the past year, Meath Local Sports Partnership through the Community Sports Hub has delivered a number of programmes to the children and adults living in your area. Those were run as short programmes and come and try events. We now want to ensure that activities such as those are delivered all year round in your area – what would that mean for you and your family???
It would mean that you & your family would have access to:
- walking/jogging/running groups on your doorstep
- sports clubs active in your area
- activities delivered weekly/monthly in Blackwater park
- activities delivered in local schools at evenings/weekends & mid-term breaks
- activities to suit all ages & abilities
If you are interested and would like your say in helping this plan to become a reality – please come along to our public meeting Thursday 22nd November 2018 @ 7pm-8.30pm in Aura Leisure centre, Navan.

Late Night League
Meath LSP in association with FAI, NYPD and An Garda Siochana will run Late Night League – Futsal in November. This league is open to anyone aged 12-15/16-18 years!
5-A-SIDE, squads of 5-8 Players….. and its free! Register a team or yourself on the night.

Social Dancing for 40+
